Just a few lines to let you know how my wife and i enjoyed our stay at Oba saray. As you know we normally book a fully inclusive hotel deal, which we both enjoy. So when Helen booked the apartment I was not sure she had done the right thing.

It was the right thing, as we both found the freedom to eat, sleep long go sightseeing just when and where it suited us. The apartment was great too, attractive and comfortable, it was so nice to have it completely to ourselves for the whole two weeks.

The location really suited us, not far from the center, 10 minutes walk from the sea and plenty of shops and restaurants close at hand.
But special thanks to you, It was really nice to have someone to give us local advice on shopping and sightseeing, but more importantly when Helen had a tooth ache, your dentist did a really great job, finished at 10 pm! so all in all we had a great time

and are looking forward to another visit to Oba Saray, possibly in June. Will let you know in the New Year.

Recommendation for Oba Saray

Four years ago my family and me went to Turkey for the first time. Our two kids, a girl now 18 and a boy 12 were of course with us.
Our friends had told us about William Blockland and his beautiful apartments at Oba Saray. For years we had been visiting the Greek islands, but after we were told about the climate, beaches, infrastructure and tempting near by facilities we decided to try it out.

After renting apartments from William for the past four years it is my pleasure to share my recommendation to others. He is an honest and very service minded person, and as he is living at Oba Saray he is always at your service with a smile.
We have used Williams different apartments during our stays and I can guarantee you will not be disappointed. They are large, well furnished and have all the luxury things you need for a pleasant stay.
The complex itself is beautiful, surrounded by a beautiful garden wherever you go. The large swimming pool for kids and grown ups is always clean. It is a pleasure to watch the two gardeners working shift to make everything clean and do regular maintenance.
The complex is very safe as there are cameras watching the area at night together with the night shift gardener.
Oba Saray is situated only a few minutes from the beautiful beach and the cosy village Oba. You will find horse riding facilities, a large water land, spa and Hamm am accommodations, markets and whatever you search near by.
So, my fellow tourists. Contact William and I guarantee you will be very well taken care of during your stay.

Dear William,

It is on these most busy days we are very happy to know you; we want to thank you for taking part in making our holidays such memorable moments.

Your level of service is the best anybody can expect. From the moment that we order a flat and till the moment our vacation is ended and we have to go home, you are always there to help and assist with practical things that must be taken care of.

We have not experienced the same level of service anywhere else. From the moment we order a flat from you we can relax and rely on you to organise the rest for us; from and to the airport or wherever we would like to go.

One other thing that we are extremely happy about is that you are there to welcome us and see to that everything is OK with the apartment and take care of any immediate needs we might have.

Our last visit was how I should say it, one of a kind. As our son wanted to bring friends we had to rent two apartments, and we were very happy that this was possible. And also that it was possible to get apartments in the same building.

We had so much fun and the youths also want to express how much they enjoyed themselves during the stay.

The Oba area is a very nice place to stay for a family, and this time the short distance to Alanya was also perfect. The youths travelled from Oba to Alanya every day (and night).  The Turkish people are in general very polite and eager to help, and this time we experienced this in the most positive way.

As we have stayed in Oba Saray more than ones we have no problem recommending your apartments to others. If one wants to stay close to the flat the swimming Poole it is a perfect place to stay. At the same time it is only a five to ten minutes walk to the beach.

Oba Saray apartments give us, as they are very well equipped, the opportunity to have a relaxing evening at home either alone or with friends or if we want to; a five minute walk and we are in a lovely small city centre of Oba. A number of pleasant restaurants to choose from as the place to have dinner or a drink.

We have been recommending Turkey, the Alanya area, and in special the Oba are to many of our friends, and we have also told them about the lovely apartments we have been so lucky to have the opportunity to rent from you.

Again; we will like to thank you so very much for helping us in organising the most wonderful holidays we have ever had.

Dubai 26 September 2009.

Hi there 

Sorry I took so long to get back to you.

We found the apartment very well situated, close to banks, shops, restaurants, public transport, and the beach. The local beach was gorgeous, and we enjoyed the local weekly street market.

The pool area was great, and the apartment was spacious and fairly well equipped.  We missed having English channels on TV, and a microwave oven would have been nice.  The TV in the apartment had no sockets to plug in our DVD player, and this was a bit of a disappointment. We were initially nervous about the balcony overlooking the road, but in the end we rather enjoyed sitting on the balcony and watching the passing parade in the street below.

We took several day trips which we booked through the local agents, and also hired a car to explore the local area.  We particularly enjoyed our day at the River picnic area/restaurant in the mountains, and our boat trip.

Generally, we found Turkey cheaper than Cyprus, with better beaches. The food, groceries and fresh produce were all very good.  We had no problems getting around, as most people spoke a little English. The transfers to and from the airport were fine, with no problems.

Alanya was bigger than I had expected, and really pretty.  I was glad to be out of the busy main shopping area, but close enough to visit it by bus. Actually, I think that our location was ideal. Next time I will come with an empty suitcase and buy my beach clothers there, although you have to haggle hard for good prices.
